Leif Zetterling

Born in 1940, Leif is a painter, draughtsman and designer. He was responsible for the advertising in Arlanda airport’s arrival hall in the late 1960s, and designed Norstedts’ PAN-series during the years 1966-88. In all, he has designed more than 3,000 book covers for Swedish publishers including Norstedts, Tidens förlag, Författarförlaget and Bra Böcker.

Starting in 1973, Leif has been creating works of social satire in newspapers and magazines. He has won a number of awards including Serieakademin’s Adamson prize in 1990 and the EWK prize in 2003. His work is represented with a private exhibition in the library of the Swedish Parliament and the EWK museum.

He has also painted more than 150 portraits of Swedish writers, actors, artists and business leaders.

Separate exhibitions based on Hjalmar Söderberg’s Doctor Glas were held in the library of the Swedish Parliament and the Wetterling Gallery.
