How do you deal with your life as the years advance? How do you manage those small everyday moments of both irritation and happiness?

The creator of the strip, Sven-Bertil Bärnarp, provides a number of, albeit tentative, answers. Despite the fact that it's not autobiographical, Sven-Bertil belongs to that category of citizens addressed by the title of the series. Although the gentle, pervasive humour illuminates this comic-strip, it has a serious, thoughtful undertone which is appreciated whatever your age.

Fifty-Something-Plus has been well received in Sweden and abroad: in addition to daily publication in the Sweden's biggest selling morning newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, it's also been featured by the national public TV station, SVT, and has garnered plaudits at the International Comics Festival in Kemi, Finland.
