Hälge – now as both whisky and box wine

First there was his own red wine. Then white. Now, the cartoon character Hälge gets his own Scotch: Hälge Whisky "The Famous Moose"; plus his own bag-in-box, Hälge Côtes du Rhône.

Cartoonist Lars Mortimer, together with Stockholm Winelab, are the creative souls behind this new venture. Hälge Whisky is a blended Scotch made from 80 percent grain whisky and 20 percent carefully selected malts .

Sweden’s most popular comic

The Hälge Whisky label has been drawn by Mortimer, a big whisky fan, hunting aficionado and long-time fixture at Svensk Jakt, a Swedish magazine for hunters. Hälge is Sweden’s most popular comic strip, is published in more than 60 Swedish newspapers, has its own magazine and has even released special Christmas and collectors' editions. Hälge is also published in Norwegian and Finnish newspapers. In addition, you can find two wines that are graced with the famous moose: the red wine Hälge Côtes du Rhône and the white wine Hälge Alsace.

Now, the red wine, Hälge Côtes du Rhône, can be purchased as a bag-in-box. The Hälge Côtes du Rhône box has also been made in collaboration with Mortimer, whose work adorns the package. The wine supplied in the boxes is identical to the wine sold in the bottles.
