Moomin Characters OY and Bulls Licensing together with selected Moomin licensees will be presenting an extensive centenary exhibition at the Nordic design fair, Formex, 15-18 August.
We will be showcasing high calibre products in gorgeous surroundings that will open the eyes of visitors to the possibilities of Moomin as an element in interior design, while offering inspiration for linking products to charitable causes. UNICEF will be our partner in this project in which we launch commemorative products in celebration of Tove Jansson’s centenary.A portion of the proceeds from the anniversary products will be donated to help with UNICEF’s work
in promoting children’s learning around the world.
The companies that will be developing and presenting commemorative products include Iittala, Martinex, Raben & Sjögren, Muurla, Finalyson and Le Klint.
Interior designer Frida Wanselius has designed the exhibition. Frida is well-known from the Swedish
TV-shows “Room Service” and “Äntligen Hemma” as well as from her work with Hemtex and Odd
The exhibition will see Frida working together with Jansson’s graphical designs bringing the realm of
the storybook to meet everyday reality in an inspiring and playful way.
At the inauguration cocktail party (17-19.00 15 August) the journalist and talk-show host Mark Levengood will be setting the tone while guests enjoy snacks, wine and goodie bags.
