Finnair provides competition winners with the Moomin wedding of their dreams

Moomin Valley is a magical and romantic place that you can’t help falling in love with. But up until now an actual Moomin wedding has never been a real possibility for fans of Tove Jansson’s creations. In a contest organized Finnair Japan three lucky couples had the chance to win a wedding package set in the Moomin World theme park in Naantali, Finland.

The Moomin characters are some of the most famous fictional characters from Finland worldwide and especially popular in Japan. The Moomin books have been translated into over 40 languages and the Japanese animated series from the 1990s has been broadcast in over 100 countries. The Moomin theme park in Naantali (where the weddings took place) is also very popular, drawing more than 250 000 visitors every year.

In the contest three couples were selected and given their fairytale Moomin weddings. The ceremony was held in the summery Moomin World on the front porch of the Moomin house and officiated by Snufkin himself. Little My served as a flower girl and all of the Moomin family was present. In the accompanying video you can experience the love and happiness of the couples’ very special day for yourself, and see some more of the unique Moomin details.
