2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Moomin creator, well-known author and illustrator Tove Jansson. The centennial festivities celebrate her art and life throughout the year, including in-store promotions and internatio- nal exhibitions, as well as a range of anniversary products called Tove 100, where a portion of sales will be donated to UNICEF.
“Children around the world love Tove Jansson’s work, so we wanted to give something back by supporting UNICEF’s education projects worldwide,” says Gustav Melin, Head of Licensing, Bulls Licensing.
”We have already reached our Project goal. Year to date we have over 700 000 Euro in donation to UNICEF. This has been a great opportunity for us to practice corporate social responsibility through a licensing product,” says Gustav Melin.
The secret to this success has been the same since the beginning: The books, created by Tove Jansson, have made the Moomins some of the most beloved characters of today.
Bulls Licensing has been the agent for licensing worldwide since the 1950’s, and have created one of the most success- ful licensed brands, with approximately 450 licensees worldwide.
